Basis for treatment:
Consent of the data owner to manage the sending of information on i2CAT events, activities and information, the creation of profiles and the sending of surveys related to i2CAT’s scope of action.
Need to execute a contract for the management of session registrations, conferences or training activities and the sending of the newsletter and other i2CAT communications or publications.
i2CAT, as responsible for the website, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, of April 27, relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter, “RGPD”), and Law 34/2002, of July 11, on services of the information society and electronic commerce (LSSICE), informs you that it has implemented the necessary security measures, of a technical nature and organizational, to guarantee and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data entered.
2. Purpose of the treatment
Your personal data will only be used for the following purposes, depending on the functionalities of the website with which you have interacted and provided your personal data:
Manage the sending of information on the events, activities and information of i2CAT, by electronic means or conventional mail.
Manage the sending of information and registrations for sessions, conferences or training activities.
Manage the sending of the newsletter and other i2CAT communications or publications to which you are subscribed.
Manage the creation of profiles, both by i2CAT and by third parties, and the sending of surveys related to research and innovation, among other topics. We will not process your personal data for any purpose other than those described here except
by legal obligation or judicial requirement.
3. Duration
The data corresponding to sections a) and d) above will be kept for the period until the owner expresses his wish to cancel them.
The data corresponding to section b) above will be kept for the time necessary for the purposes of carrying out the activity.
The data corresponding to section c) above will be kept as long as the subscription is not cancelled.
4. Legitimation of the treatment
The legal basis for the treatment is the consent of the interested party and, where applicable, that derived from the provision of a service.
5. Place where the information is stored
The information provided is stored on the servers of i2CAT or of suppliers and companies in charge of data processing that have servers in the territory of the European Union or are protected by the Privacy Shield.

The data provided may be transferred to organizations and companies in the public sector of the Generalitat and companies in charge of data processing (as service providers: communications sending services, courier services, agencies, similar audience generation services , etc.), including EU companies.
International transfers outside the EU may also take place in accordance with the prior authorization and notification regime established by current regulations:
to countries or companies that are recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection; or
to countries that do not offer adequate protection, but transfers are governed by the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

You can request the exercise of the following rights before i2CAT by submitting a letter to the postal address on the header or by sending an email to rgpd@i2cat.net and attaching a photocopy of the DNI or any other similar legal document, as indicated by law.

The right not to be the subject of a decision based on automated processing that produces effects or affects significantly.

i2CAT, in response to the trust placed in us and taking into account the importance in terms of protection and confidentiality required by the user’s personal data, informs you that it has adopted all the necessary technical and organizational measures to safeguard its security , as required by the current regulations governing the regulation of security means of files containing personal data.
